Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies work the same way — your browser’s local storage and beacons (short notices sent to the server when a page loads). Their use is regulated by EU Directive 2009/136/EC and, in Slovakia, by § 55 of Act No. 351/2011 Coll.; the processing of personal data resulting from them is governed by the GDPR.
Below is exactly what this website actually does.
Cookies set by ioas.pro
None. The ioas.pro server sends no cookie to your browser — our responses contain no Set-Cookie header. We have no user accounts to log into, and no advertising or analytics cookies.
Browser local storage
Instead of cookies we use local storage (localStorage). Unlike cookies, its contents are never sent to the server — they stay on your device and are read only by this website’s JavaScript.

Our forms (contact, membership application, newsletter) work without cookies and without sessions — they are submitted directly and store nothing about you in your browser.
Traffic measurement without cookies
When a page loads, your browser sends a short notice to our /api/visit endpoint. It neither stores nor reads anything on your device. On our server, the first visit from a given IP address creates a record containing:
- the IP address,
- the approximate location derived from the IP (city, region, country, indicative coordinates) and the name of your connectivity provider,
- the User-Agent (browser and operating system type),
- the first page opened,
- the time of the first and the most recent visit, and the number of visits.
This serves solely as our own overview of site traffic — we do not combine it with advertising profiles, do not share it with third parties, and do not use it for profiling or targeted advertising. Visits identified as bots and search engines are not recorded.
The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the controller in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this processing at any time at gdpr@ioas.pro — we will delete the record.
Geolocation runs on our own server from a locally stored database. Your IP address is not sent to any external service.
What we measure on the page
So that we know which parts of the site are useful and where visitors lose the thread, we record — besides the page view — clicks on links and buttons, reading depth (25/50/75/100 %), time spent on the page and form steps (opening, starting to fill in, submitting). The data is sent to our own /api/ev interface.
What is not stored: your IP address (only a daily-salted fingerprint of it is kept, from which the original address cannot be recovered and which can no longer be matched with the previous day’s), the content you type into forms, or anything that would identify you. We use no cookies for this and do not track you across other websites.
If your browser has “Do Not Track” enabled, the measurement does not run at all.
Third parties
We use no third-party tools — specifically no Google Analytics, Matomo, Hotjar, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, social media buttons, embedded players or maps.
The site is built so that your browser downloads nothing from foreign domains:
- The Inter typeface is hosted on ioas.pro itself (until 12 August 2026 it was loaded from
rsms.me; we removed this so that your IP address does not reach a third party). - The geolocation database is stored with us and refreshed monthly by our server — not by your browser.
Should this change in the future, we will update this page in advance and, for any tool that requires consent, ask for it first.
How to control and delete this data
- Local storage: in your browser settings (Chrome and Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data; Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data) select ioas.pro and delete the data. The information bar will then appear again.
- Private browsing mode (incognito) clears this data by itself when you close the window.
- The visit record kept on our server will be deleted on request — write to gdpr@ioas.pro.
